So, in a nutshell, how does zdrop work?
Customer brings in item to post on eBay
Employee evaluates item. Depending on category selected, different automated questions will prompt staff to determine make, model and manufacturer specific information, to ensure all product information is listed - more information on auctions results in more sales! The patented merchandise database has over 350,000 different items.
The condition of item is determined. This is done to get the most accurate description (which will reduce returns) and so that the estimated value is most accurate.
With all product information inputted, zdrop produces an estimate of what the seller will receive once their item sells.
Next, the customer will be able to choose how they want to sell their item - with the "Premium" or "Standard" package. Premium includes a $19.99 fee and offers to set a reserve. Standard package is free.
A Contract with your company logo is then generated. One for the customer, one for you.
The customer and your store will be emailed a notification from zdrop's support network, ztradingpost, when the item has been posted and a link to the auction will be given, so that your customer can monitor the auction.
The customer can now leave your store, and when time permits in your store, the item can be posted. With over 800,000 item photographs, there is a large selection provided, but if the item is a unique one, zdrop will support (and even walk you thru how to take) new images. Once the item is ready to be sent to eBay, zdrop again demonstrates its expertise of managing online auctions - It's proven that more, successful auctions close within a certain timeframe. zdrop wants to ensure your customers get the most bids and the most money, therefore; all items are posted within a set time frame automatically.
OK - so the items sells. Now what?
ztradingpost will notify your store and the customer when payment is received. Then your store will ship item to buyer.
A check is then sent to the customer for their portion of the sale.
A check is then sent to YOU for your portion of your customer's sale.
*Note: zdrop comes equipped with the capability to interface with local law enforcement agencies. Currently several states are reviewing regulations of Drop services to help reduce stolen merchandise being sold through online auction.
